Extra Resources 

Both units are designed to provide investigation in technologies for students. It is a resource created for teachers to promote knowledge and competence in computational skills and strategies.

 

Throughout both units, student's will have a choice of working individually, in pairs or in groups to complete the tasks given to them. Both units require prior knowledge of basic computer skills. They also incorporate other learning areas other than technologies which are, English, Mathematics, History, and Science. It is a great way to get students involved with the hands-on activity and also the interactive activity with binary codes.

 

Student's will use the blogging website EduBlog so any teacher is able to access each student's blog to watch their progress on the unit. This website has been highly recommended by many teachers because of the easy accessibility for both student's and teachers. Weebly has also been recommended by many teachers that I know for creating games and activities because of the simple navigation throughout the web site.

 

Below are some extra resources to give to the students to understand the topic in more detail and also to help support research ideas for the year 3 and 4 unit.
